Privacy Policy
Your design systems are your property. Learn how we handle your data with a local-first philosophy.
1. Local-First Philosophy
Kromalume is designed to be local-first. Most of your work—including colors, typography settings, and border and shadow settings—is stored directly in your browser's IndexedDB. This data never leaves your machine unless you explicitly choose to sync it with our cloud services.
2. Data We Collect
When you create an account, we collect minimal information:
- Account Information: Username and email address for authentication and recovery.
- Cloud Palettes: If you use the "Save Cloud" feature, we store your design tokens on our secure servers to enable cross-device synchronization and public sharing.
- Analytics: We may collect anonymous usage data to improve our extraction algorithms and system performance. We do not track individual design decisions.
3. Data Ownership
You own 100% of the palettes and design systems you generate. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the tokens, CSS variables, or configuration files produced within the Kromalume.
4. Security
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your account and cloud-synced data. However, since much of your work is stored locally, we recommend using secure browser practices and keeping your device updated.
5. Contact
If you have questions about your data or wish to request a full deletion of your cloud-stored assets, please contact us at [email protected].
